Does anyone know the current state of affairs at Sywell reservoir in Northants?

 

I fancy a return there for the big tench, it's been 3 years since my last visit.

 

Q's...

1. Is Sywell open yet (FMD)?

2. Is it still float only (I hope so)?

3. Can you still fish it on a day ticket?

4. How's the tenching been over the last year or so?

5. Last visit it was very weedy, more so than previous, how is it this season?

 

As it's a 320 mile round trip for me and my pals I would be most greatful for some basic info. AN-glers.

yes its still float only

yes to the best of my knowledge

still big ones swimming around do not like to come out though

weed is still there

but i am sure a man of your skill can pull a few out.

I reckon £25 is a good price for what you get, may still make the effort, nice to return to the scene of the crime .

hi steve,

i will look up his phone number i spoke to dave tonight( membership secretary) and he told me that it costs £6500 to rent sywell

and the club did not even receive the day ticket fees from the council

do not know how long this will take to turn up on site but if you e mail me i will give you his number ok tomorrow 29th
