All.

 

Sitting through an extra long closed season that followed an awful winter, my mind turns to next season and my plans for it.

 

I hope to get a decent barbel and perch from the lower Thames. A personal best chub would be nice too, oh and a 2lb Roach. I'll stop there, before I get carried away...

 

What are your targets?.

My plans for this year are:-

 

Learn how to fish lures properly.

Learn how to use a whip (ouch!).

16lb+ carp.

4lb plus tench (I know they're in there).

Catch at least one fish on each of the shiny new rods that I bought at the NEC.

Replace all my old reels with spanking new ones (BTW that one is a secret...).

Go fishing a hell of a lot more than last year (2 trips isn't hard to beat though).
