I have a 5 metre whip which I would like to elasticate for margin fishing, can anyone advise the best and correct method to do this.

Thanks.

I have done this on my lads 5M pole ..

Simply buy a TPFE bush, bung of the right size and a pack of elastic..

1.. You will have to hacksaw off a small amount from the top tele. section, until the

PTFE bush just fits, without slipping off..

2.. feed your elastic length though the top

2 sections and tie off onto the bung.( As i said watch the size of the bung you get you may want to take the top two sections with you when you get it..

Hey presto a simple but cheap pole...

Uuummm...

If it's a whip, won't it have a solid "flick tip" rather than a hollow top that an elastic will go through?

Just a thought...

Good point Keith, not sure, the whip i had for my lad was hollow, so it worked well..

Just as a precaution it may be adviseable to check first....better safe than sorry.

Chris which 5m whip is it??...
