Hi Gaffer

Its not just the place to be at the moment its the place to be always

 

I was talking to a couple of the posters off here on paltalk a while ago,when i mentioned that i'm trying to get some gear together for my 3 sons who are all fishing mad (the Ex-wife ain't pleased about that ).

 

They then offered me some tackle to get the lads started & the long journey to fetch it was worth every mile when i saw the smile on my lads faces!

 

As i have already posted on the Yateley thread Dian & i both wanted to go but could only afford 1 ticket then i get an E-mail asking for my address so the person could send us the cheque for Dians ticket (which nearly made her cry) It left me speechless & as you all know thats hard to do!

 

If any of you can show me another sport/hobby/pastime or whatever you want to call it where your fellow participants will do such as i've written above then i'll be very surprised.

 

I have learnt a lot from this site & have told any angler or anyone who's even interested in angling about it!

 

If anyone comes into the paltalk room & asks a question they are pointed in the direction of this forum & its not just me who does it ALL the admin do it, even after giving them an answer we still say "go to this site & post your question"

 

All i want to add is Thank you to Elton for the site & thank you to all the members of Anglersnet for all the stuff i've read/learnt & enjoyed so far, maybe if all the worlds troubles & questions could be settled this way we could live in peace & get some more fishing done

I would like to say that ive only known about this sight for a few days, after endless hours of searching for a good website.I feel as a beginner that anything i am unsure of or advice that i need the regulars on this site come up with the goods without ridicule. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK LADS

Got to say it is the best!!

 

I've browsed loads of forums over the last year or so, but could never be bothered to register as they always tend to cover the same old issues, which usually end up as arguments anyway.

 

this site has such a diverse group of anglers that each time you log on you don't even know where to start reading/posting.

Yeah Gaffer Good pub this.One of the things I like is to be able to read a post and think "I can help this guy", type a few sentences and get appreciation.

Us olduns sometimes forget that we have years of reading and talking under our belts and forget things until suddenly up pops a question and old memories are revived and we can pass on one of our "little gems"

Yes this "gaff" is the place to be!
