Is it possible tocatch barbel fishing on a waggler rig on the river if so has anyone got any tips on where to put the shot and how to set up and what baits to use

also theres a spot on the trent where there are reeds in the water loads of them and weed channels its on a river junction where the main flow goes straght on ad this cuts off its quite fast but could it be a barbel holdong spot
