Peter,

How would you answer Jack's question in post #1 for "your river"?

Hi Phone - I couldn't, categorically, to be honest: if it was something upon which I needed an absolutely correct ruling, I'd contact the Environmental Agency (probably via email so that I have a 'written' response), and ask them a very carefully worded question!
