Tips for fishing 'four seasons' in Blackpool next week

RELATIVLEY NEW TO THESE FORUMS AND WAS JUST TRYING TO GATHER SOME HINTS & TIPS REALLY.

 

ME AND TWO FRIENDS ARE FISHING MILL LAKE 'FOUR SEASINS' IN BLACKPOOL NEXT WEEK AND WAS JUST WONDERING

IF ANYBODY HAS BEEN ,AND COULD OFFER SOME RIG TIPS,BAIT TIPS AND ANYTHING IN GENERAL REALLY

 

 

 

IF NOT I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE FOR TIPS DURING WINTER!!!! THANKS ALOT AND TIGHT LINES

Hi Andrew,

I've never fished there but when travelling to a new venue I always source local knowledge. Find the local tackle shop and call them before your visit. Ask them about the running bait and tactics. If you arrive the night before your session then walk the lake and you may be lucky enough to see some fish which will give you an idea on location. Walk the area again in the morning though as they can move!

 

Can you give me a bit more information on your preferred style of fishing as there's no point me blowing your mind with carp rigs if you prefer to sit watching a float in the margins.

not fished it for a while but try and get peg 15 its one of the better pegs ask in the shop as what bait is doing well

they are very helpful try one on the bottom as close to the island as possible and one chod rig mid channel,

for the chod use a 1 oz lead and the bottom rig 1.25 oz for the chod either xlr8 or if you can get brilliant baits pop up peperami/bloodworm /cranberry mix ,there very good especially in the colder weather

good luck btw there are some nice cats in the mill pond.
