Rod & Line License - SCOTLAND (coarse fishing)

Hi Guy’s

 

Where staying in Scotland on the shores of Loch Lomond for our annual holiday this year. My Coarse Fishing Rod & Line license covers me for England and Wales… so what about Scotland?

 

Do I need to buy one for there and where from?

there is no "rod licence" in Scotland but you do have to pay for a day/week permit as in England. Some fisheries however are free, and i believe Lomond is still 1 of them, at least for coarse species....of which there are a lot in Lomond...perch, roach, chub to name but 3, as well as the obvious pike.

I'm guessing the campsite were staying should be able to advise on day/week permits for the loch.
