On loading some pages on internet I get a message.

"Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result the page may not display correctly".

Any ideas to getting rid of this.

Try...

 

Start -> ControlPanel -> Internet Options

-> Security -> Custom Level -> Change download signed ActveX controls to enable...

Of course you might prefer to keep your prompt relating to ActiveX for security reasons...downloading some malicious ActiveX could be upsetting!
