First January Barbel.

Well decided after the exploits of a friend yesterday, to cancel a planned trip to the Teme, on the strength he had four Barbel off the Lower Severn, best going over 12lbs.

So after a short trip I found myself the only one there, and the banks were LETHAL!!. First cast resulted in a lost fish to the rocks, so a move to a safe area resulted in two fish of 11lb and 10.2 ozbefore the heavens opened.

Very wet and muddy but very happy!!
