after having a 2 month ban on going fishing as have had to revise for mocks i will soon be back on the toot and loking for that ilusive 20lb Pike,

 

I just thought id show you a few shots of my lakes i have taken through the yr

Great looking spot. I nicked one of the pics

 

 

but mostly to ask if you knew that earlier in the year those cat tails would make great eating? The tops - taken while they are light brown and firm - can be boiled for a few seconds and eaten with butter and are probably one of the best things you'd ever taste.

 

Same for the roots although they need boiling a little longer and don't taste quite as good.
