Geoffrey Bucknall Tackle & Books

Hi all,

I was wondering if any of you knew what a signed split-cane fly rod built by Geoff Bucknall would be worth and if any of you would be interested in buying it? A friend of mine has asked me to sell it for her - I believe Geoff built if for her father. It is in good overall condition but could do with a re-varnish I think.

I also have been given by the same person 2 x Geoff bucknall books, one of which is signed and I believe it's a 1st edition. The titles are:

Resevoir Trout Fishing (Signed in 1971)

Fly-fishing tactics on still water

I also have another split cane rod which is multi-use. It's 5 piece and can be used as a fly rod with 2 possible tip-strengths or will also set-up as a spinning rod (the reel-seat and cork handle is detachable and reversible). I have to say, it's stunning but I have no idea who built it and when, but it's been in the family for years. It only collects dust at the moment and although I have tried to have it valued before, no-body seems to know what price to put on it!

Any help would be much appreciated!
