hi to all

my crazy missus is doing the ashby 20 road race in a couple of weeks time, will take her about 4 1/2 hrs as she's a plodder.

does anybody know of any smaller fisheries in the area? where i could fish. i'm a purely pleasure ameture, and prefer fishing for a mixed bag of fish, havent got either the patience or the takle for big carp fishing and spend most of my time fishing smaller ponds / pools . i also have some mobility probs but can shuffle upto about 400m from the car.

any suggestions would be much appreciated.

THANKS ALL IN ADVANCE

i've only know a few river spots in Leicestershire ,& mallory park but thats not dayticketed ,i only know a couple of reservoirs & pond around melbourne .but something rang a bell with ashby and match venues .and a had a google and found these .

this is a large lake ,a phone call would be in order to find out if they have suitable places where you could fish with easy access

these are a few short miles away from ashby ,but should be more suitable with easy access
