Calling all Blackburn Anglers

I have only been living in Blackburn for just over two years. I haven't done a lot of fishing so far but I am keen to get started properly again. I come N.Ireland and used to fish the River Bann and bag big bream which I really enjoyed. I don't live far from the canal and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good spots along it? On my way to the 'Outlaws' heading on the M65, just before I come off at the junction for Manchester etc... I see a few sections of the Canal on my left that look very good - anyone shed some light on this?

 

I would be keen to hook up with some folk for a few days fishing if anyone is interested.
