Hi all,

 

What do those yellow diamonds & squares etc. that appear on road signs mean?

 

This has been bugging me for ages ...

Dont quote me Ian,

But i think it is somthing to do with primary Roads and holiday routes.

 

It was a long time since i passed my test so i might be wrong

 

I am sure one of the young wipper snappers who post on here will put me right

the black letters HR on yellow background is holiday route and black diamond and black triangle on yellow background are symbols showing emergency diversion routes for motorway traffic

Correctomundo - and I should know cos I sat my car theory test yesterday and got 35 out of 35. Bit strange being 32 years of age and only now learning to drive. I'm sure the 17 year olds were pointing and sniggering at me.....

Hi Andy,

I passed my NL test and Theory at 49 and there were sniggering at me.
