Can't do live, just Lip sync!!

Since finishing work last Friday all I've done is drink red wine and veg in front of the telly.

I love watching MTV(etc), T.O.T.P, T.O.T.P.2, etc, but just hate it when singers, groups, boy/girl bands don't sing live when appearing live.

Here are just some:- Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, A1, SClub7, Billie, Jennifer Lopez, WHY!!!.

Surely if your not going to sing live then don't appear live and stop taking good peoples money in the process!

What are your thoughts?

What does live mean these days?

I think live means breathing Elton, because it looks as though some of the acts can just about do that.

The other thing is when they are miming, why make it look so bloody obvious, the mike half the time is no where near their mouth and the other half they are not even close to being in sinc with music. Why do they get paid so much for appearing ( live )!!!!!!!!

Gaffer, mate. Study the list of musical greats you've been devoting your spare time to - and then tell me you're not overdue a decent bivvy-up.

 

From what I've seen of it, MTV stands for Massive Talentless Void. But then, I'm old and can remember when...er...erm...sod it, I've forgotten.

 

Oh well, I'm sure I had a point...once.

I remember, back in the seventies, a girl duo called "Althea & Donna", who sang "Uptown toprankin"...This was the last, as i know it of "Live" performances on TOTP.

I also remember the Clash being peed off at being told to mime, and the drummer "Played" Two foot above his drums in disgust.

The reason these "acts" dont play live os quite a simple one.THEY CANT!!!! all these so called artists do is present a front on which to dupe unsuspecting kids into parting with their cash.These acts should be done under the trade desciptions act for failing to provide the goods!!
