St Peter is standing at the Pearly gates when 40 scousers turn up at once.

 

St Peter does not know what to do so he goes and finds God.

 

"Let in the 10 most righteous" says God, so Peter goes off to find them.

 

10 Minutes later St Peter rushes up to God in a right state and says: "They've Gone!"

 

"What all 40?" asks God

 

"No!" says Peter

 

"the gates."

Saw a TV programme, broadcast from Lytham I believe, where the audience were asked to count down for someone on a beat-the-clock activity.

 

"Count down from ten" said the presenter, "or if you are from Liverpool, join in at three"
