A slight to moderate north easterly sea swell with coloured water provided good conditions for codling fishing in this high water match. However with the bigger fish now moving offshore to spawn it was difficult going for the Whitby sea anglers with no member catching more than 1 cod. Colin Stainthorpe had his first win since the 2nd of Novemeber. Colin had 2 fish (1 cod and 1 rockling) weighing 8 pounds 5 ounces in total. Rob Allison continued his recent good run and came in second with a single cod of 5 pounds 15 ounces. Glenn Kilpatrick came in Third with 1 fish for 2 pounds 12 ounces.

Results : 1st C Stainthorpe 8-5(2), 2nd R Allison 5-15(1), 3rd G Kilpatrick 2-12(1), M Vasey 2-4(1), D Perrett 1-0(1), B Harland 0-11(1), W Atkinson 0-4(1).
