Torsk/Tusk in England or Wales

Torsk aka Tusk are a cold and also a deep water species so your best bet is a deep water mark, preferably over mud, as far north as you can!

It would probably require a trip to Scotland or Donegal in Ireland if you want to catch one, and

a lot of patience unless you have local guidance.

FWIW...

Hi

Dont know about Tusk in England, but I know around the North of Scotland in deep waters they can be caught. One thing I would disagree with in my experiences in catching them is that they are caught over mud, on a whole we mainly catch them over a very hard rocky bottom.

One specific mark that I know of, that we have up here in the waters of the Isle of Lewis is full of Tusk and produces them 2-3 at time, and are up to 10 pound in weight.

Good luck fishing for them, if you do manage to get a day fishing for them, pound for pound they fight extremely hard.
