Sounds just like some of my recent sessions Spud!

I shouldn't worry about it too much, it's a funny old time of the year for the fish. The warmer weather has encouraged them to start what comes naturally to all wild animals every spring. So your local pond is probably full of fish with other things on their mind and they aren't always in a mood to eat.

Be patient and persistent and they'll eventually start taking your baits when they're good and ready.

Our chief weapon is surprise

It's a funny old world, as some one famous used to say.

Saturday, went on on my usual pitch on the GUC, caught all day, must have had more than 50 fish, many of them good if not specimen.

Sunday, same spot, same bait, hardly a sausage, few litle perch.

Monday, nothing, then wham something hit so hard and sudden that it fractured my pole, end of session.
