Shore / Harbour Fishing in France

I'll be going sailing for 10 days with work in July, to France. It sucks, but someone has to do it!!

 

as always, I'll be taking a travel rod with me, and was intending to fish from the boat when we moor up in the harbours. i imagine there'll be plenty of mullet around, and maybe a few bass.

 

Can anyone adbise me on whether I need any sort of licence to shore / harbour fish in France?
