Llangynidr Pond

Has anyone been fishing in Llangynidr's little pond just off the canal ?

 

Apparently there used to be pike there. But all I have caught there is perch, roach, rudd, golden rudd, brown goldfish and gudgeon. There are some carp there but I have never caught one.

 

Unfortunately now that there is contruction going on to the canal (which is connected to the pond) They have drained the canal for miles ( which means drained the pond) so theres no more easy access local coarse fishing for me now.

 

But this could be a good thing because I have heard that they are re stocking the canal and pond and cleaning the pond out and putting better flooring to the pond.

 

So has anybody on this forum been fishing in this small pond just right of the canal if you are heading tal-y-bont way.
