Best Pike trip ever!

I fish for pike whenever I can (which is not very often anymore!) as they are my preferred species. The lake I fish is predominantly a carp water, and have only ever seen 1 other person pike fishing there with no success. If you have fish-care as your priority, I don't see why you cant fish for a species all year round, especially if you are catching them all in A1 condition. Is there a problem with much publicised lure-fishing for pike in the summer?
