Catch report Hillhead (Hampshire) 24th June

Fished under the cliffs on Brownwich beach, Hillhead. 20.30 - 01.00. High tide 23.27.

2 smoothhounds 6.5 lbs and 7 .5 lbs - to rag/crab cocktail.

Had the carp rod out for a speculative go for sole. No joy there - had several shoal bass and silver eel.

Guy about 50 yards from me (only other angler on that stretch of beach) pulled in a stingray at dusk. I would put it at about 5 / 6 lbs.

Nice one Richard, yet to catch a smooth hound from the beach locally, I am sure they are about but it is finding a good mark, to much beach to little time
