when feeder fishing for carp is it better to have a light cage feeder or a heavy one?

Use a heavy feeder as your weight in a bolt-rig. If you use a light feeder, it may feel heavy enough when packed with groundbait, but once that is dispersed, the weight of the feeder may not be enough to set the hook.
