Spain's river Ebro near Benifallet

Hello,

 

I will stay in one of the 'Del Riu' mobile homes (www.ebroangling.com/index.htm) for a couple of days towards end of Feb targetting river Ebro carp.

 

Has anybody stayed and fished there and around Benifallet before that can share their experience?

 

I'll be happy to share my experience when I return with (hopefully) some fishy pics. and a description.

Ive fished at Riba Roja near Flix upsteam and Amposta Downstream of Benifallet so let me know how you get on.

The weir at Tivaneys, nearby, is a noted hotspot but I have never fished it; remember you will need a Catalan licence to fish that part of the river these are easily available in Tortosa.

I'm pretty sure it was Amposta I fished a few years back. Didn't fish for the carp as we were catting and there were some sizeable cats in there then so they must be very big by now.

fished the stretch at mequininza between christmas and new year, unfortunately it was very cold with frost every morning but still managed carp to 30, it fished very well the week before (typical), there are plenty of carp to go at and the catfish may well pick up a bait too....hold tight...
