Hello,

New to the forum and from reading other posts here, you sound like a friendly bunch so I thought I'd introduce myself! Me and OH are about to take the plunge (hopefully not too literally  ) and get a couple of Prowler 13s (after lots of research) and some breathable waders (Snowbee have a special at the mo) with a sturdy adjustable waistband. I was worried about water leaking in when/if we ended up in the sea but from reading up on the threads here it's not a huge worry in the summer, and so I was thinking about getting this and probably a cag too.

We are based right up on the north coast of Scotland and have done a fair bit of shore fishing, including fly fishing for bass in Tongue estuary - which was amazing!!) but even up here the coast is getting too crowded and we decided kayaks would be the best bet for exploring, fishing secret places and generally messing about on the water.

So hello from us! I'll probably be picking your collective brains later on in the season!

If you are after a P13 I have one for sale near Kyle of Lochalsh so not a million miles away! Practically new and I have only been out four times. Doing all my paddling up there, I suggest you upgrade asap to a dry trousers and dry cag - don't need to tell you how low water temperatures are, especially if you get into trouble!

Hi Basilsdad, that sounds very interesting indeed! Don't know if I can get PMs yet as this is my second post, could you tell me what colour it is and how much you are asking for it? Is it the angling version? How did you get on with it? Is it advertised elsewhere?

Thanks everyone for the welcome!

Hello Birdie Wife

I am too junior on this site to receive PMs, but if you click on Troller's link below and log in to anglersafloat, you can PM me there, though I go by the the name of novicejock there. It is yellow, the angling version and I got on very well with it.

Hi Troller,

For some reason I can't view that thread, when I click on the link I go to a page which asks me to enter my password but when I do, it's not recognised :( what's the gist?

You need to create an account to enter Anglersafloat - that is why it is asking you to log in.
