Rig For Syringed Worms?

Recommended Posts

I am going to be trying a local commercial lake after the busy holiday weekend in the evening sometime this week. The carp will have seen a few million pellets and boilies...

My tactic is to use big lob worms close in that are popped up using a syringe.

The hook link will be some combi braid with the large shot to hold the worm down on the stiff part and the worn will be allowed to wriggle freely on the softer braid on about a size 6 hook.

I will be chooping up lots of worms and mixing with some darker groundbait and chucking in at regular intervals to attract interest.

The above is all worked out but I cant work out what rig/rod to use??

A bolt rig? A freeline? Feeder(with above mix) and quiver tip?

Any ideas?

Bog standard running leger suits me for popped up worms. Paternosters and feeders work well too.
