Buying new rods

Hi all,

 

I'll be buying a pair of new rods and I've decided on the Bruce Ashby Specialist rods. What tc should i go for? 1.25 or 1.75?

I'll be using the rods on the river and in lakes fishing for bream, tench, chub and perch and i don't have to make long casts when fishing in lakes, but i often use the method feeder.
