Hoping this old post is still of interest to the original author.

Sixteen years ago I lived at Burton Tower, an old stone farmhouse with newer wing where I rented a two-bedroom flat. Through my rear French doors I could look down the pasture to the small fishing lake. The place was owned by the wonderful Evans family.

The lake is perhaps a 1/4 acre, inhabited by geese, ducks and swans. Local fisherman keep their small boats overturned along the shore. Its a beautiful, peaceful little lake surrounded by trees and pastureland.

I found a picture on the web of Burton Tower (see attachment). It lies between Rossett and Llay, somewhat closer to Rossett, off the main road.
