Pier Fishing In The South

Guest Elton

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've just received an email from a guy called Ian, who lives in Warwickshire and wants to fish a pier in the South, either in Hampshire, Dorset or Devon (that's a long way to go, so if you know of any closer...).

Ian can't walk too far and also wants to take his son - any suggestions? If there's one local to you, any chance of a phone number?

Thanks in advance,

Elton

The lifeboat pier at Calshot Castle is available for fishing, daytickets at the centre, about £3. 50 yard chuck to deep water.(good)

Bournemouth pier, no fishing.

Boscombe pier fishing available.(poor)

Southsea Pier fishing available. (average)

Thats about it.

Most of the beach fishing in Dorset is within 50 yds of the car.

Hill Head in Hampshire is out of the back of the car on the promenade. (British record smoothounds)

Give me specifics on location and I'll try to help some more.
