get your mullet rods out andy and patrick

 

the mullet are still about

 

had loads of bites today at the civic centre,

 

resulted in a mullet of 4lb 8oz.

 

fat fish, they have been doing a lot of feeding.

hi all

 

sorry i just hav'nt had the time realy for fishing for quite some time now with work etc.

 

Bit of good news by the way, i have seen coddling to a few pounds being caught at medway city estate, saw 1 last night and i was only there for half hour.

 

4 were caught at the weekend by the m2 motorway bridge.

Been quite a few codling coming out from the thames, a couple around the 6lb mark, and many between 2-4lb which ive seen and caught. Good to see them coming out of the rivers this early, hopefully a bumper year would be nice.

 

As for mullet, sounds tempting giving it a bash round here, maybe 1 last session during the week ;)

Well done Matt

 

Luke and I fished Gillingham pier last Saturday.

 

Conditions were perfect. Bright and sunny after a misty start, no wind resulting in that rare oily calm. A decent rising tide . . we saw nothing, no knocks . . total zero. So have put my Mullet rods away from another year. I'll now get a rash of calls and emails telling to dust them off and get back out there!!

went again yest

 

had a few bites,

 

lost 1 fish, felt heavy, took off and just lost it

 

there was lots of fresh marks on the side of the wall aswell.

 

fished the civic again
