Product Feeds

I'm an idiot, okay?

I'm an idiot because I don't actually understand much technical stuff and I'm an idiot because I waste so many easy opportunities to make a living.

One that has bugged me for ages is product feeds.

Some of my affiliated suppliers offer product feeds in csv and xml format.

I have no idea *whatsoever* how to make these into dynamic pages.

Is it simple, or am I right in thinking it's beyond the realms of a normal man?

tia,

Elton

Hmmmm....think this may be one I need to get another company to do for me :( I've tried Googling it, but just can't find the answer. It must be 'do-able'.

Cheers for that. There is a facility to download the data as XML, so that page may well help.

Though (typically) your suppliers will probably all be sending their stuff out in different formats, RSS (which is in XML) would be a very sensible option for them and likely to be the most common.

If you need any help with parsing XML / RSS etc, let me know.

Can I send you an example XML file and see what you think of it?

Hi,

Yep - PC was off all day yesterday (I'd like to pretend it was so that I could spend some quality time with the family, but I got hammered watching the darts, if the truth be known....)

I'll get back to you asap - holiday on Friday and a mountain of crap to get through first, so, unfortunately, it looks like this may have to wait until I get back :(

atb,

Elton
