Opposite end of the scale

Caught a 3 inch perch nicely hooked in the corner of its mouth on a 8 inch dead herring once; must have been a shoal of small perch having a go at my bait and I hooked one of them accidentally as I wound down on the bait.

 

Apart from Sticklebacks & minnows: I have often caught tiny roach, rudd & bream (1.5") and small Carp (2.5") on the whip and size 20 hooks in the past.

it can be great fun finding a nursery where all the juvinile fish hold up

 

a two inch pomano on size 12 ,these fish grow big in the med ,what a little scraper
