has anyone got a slosh 20 or 30 wwhich of the 2 is better for rock work and how much line do the hold

I bought a SL30SH last year and have it loaded with 460 yards of 25 lb mono for rock and snaggy work. Also use it off the boat for shallow fishing but am changing to braid. Works very well too and the 30 has the higher capacity than the 20... Neil MacKellow has a fine article on how to fine tune it on his website. FWIW...

I've had a pair of 20's for a few years now, awesome reels, solid, reliable and a good all-rounder.

 

The 20 takes a good amount of 20lbs mono, enough for a decent hit on a custom rod. I use mine with 25lb for heavy rock fishing for Huss and Eels, enough line for the distances required for these fish in our waters, 100yds easy with enough backing to keep the retrieve ratios up.
