  1. Mate, Try going for these two, then you can use the levelwind cage whenever you need to. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...me=STRK:MESE:IT http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...me=STRK:MESE:IT Could get a good deal...BTW its mine
  2. Hey Mate, I'll resolve your first issue, the correct address - http://www.susans-fishingtackle.co.uk/ ;-)
  3. That's the feathers I use - hokkais, those are my preferred type ;-) [ 12. April 2005, 05:40 PM: Message edited by: Caleb from Guernsey ]
  4. Hi Mate, Over here we boat fish for them with those small mackeral feathers that have the beads and small hooks (think they are shakespeare or summit. Each hook is baited with a small piece of squid. Sometime I cut the rigs in half so I only have 2/3 hooks. Three bream on one rig is a real handful but great fun.
  5. Guys, The biggest Mullet caught commercially in local waters that I have heard of was 15.5lbs... A friend of mine has landed a 10lb 7oz and another friend 11lb 10oz. There are big fish around Guernsey from January to March, I have hooked estimated fish between 10-12lb and seen bigger. I would not be surprised if the 15.5lbs was real as I have seen a 12-13lb'er in the fish markets here once. I believe when the record goes it will either be in Alderney or Guernsey as these are always fished regularly at peak times. However, Sark and Herm (also local islands) hold great potential as my biggest was from Herm, 8lb 6oz (caught at night on swimfeeder and returned alive) and the two weeks before a 10lb 7oz and 8lb 3oz were caught on normal beach gear at night with worm baits - just like in Alderney off Platte Saline. 6. BTW, a few clips are being played in the next every half hour and on the hour, see the link above for online access. Cheers,
  7. Oops, they called me and did the radio interview at 07:15... Anyone hear it and did it come across OK?
  8. Story is on tomorrow instead...the said something like. A petition has been set up to stop the overfishing of spawning bass off the west coast of Guernsey. But local fisherman say there isn't a problem...more on this tomorrow evening.
  9. Hi Mate, It is the Channel Islands section but it does go back to South West. However, I believe the story will be on the Channel Islands section . Also just done a clip for the radio news story. The interview will be at 07:25 and will last for 5 minutes. I can be listened to here http://www.bbc.co.uk/guernsey/ [ 21.
