ohhh, looks like a bit of an exaggeration from martin:

“ Thanks to having a strong, professional and unified voice angling is now in the happy place where senior politicians of all parties willingly line up to extol the virtues of our sport and the contribution it makes to both the economy and the environment. This represents a sea change from where we were ten years ago and shows how important it is that we remain united. We can only afford to attend these events because of our growing army of members and donors that provide the funding for us to make the case for angling to politicians.”

The voice is not unified, nor does it have an army. 'We' are not united, as the trust are quick to keep away from alternative opinion. Where is the mandate from the rsa that their hobby needs politicising?

The trust can afford to attend because of monies received from ngo's, = tax payers money, and not monies received from individual members. 13,000 X 15 max is 195,000 as 13,000 x 10 = 130,000 goes to the solicitors. 13000 max members across all aspects of uk angling. Were are the 100,000 members that where once described by the trust?

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

quote martin:

'At the Conservative Conference Martin even managed to raise the issue of bass conservation and the need for a larger minimum landing size in a chance encounter with Prime Minister David Cameron which saw them comparing notes on their separate unsuccessful bass fishing trips to Cornwall'.

nope, the biggest problem with the bass stock is the management. It's the e u who should be getting a mouth full, It's hung up by indecision just like the common eel management that took ten years to resolve the management problems, however the eel is still in short supply, 'cept the uk where is has shown a revival without managements help.

So martin what about the French question re the bass, where they want a tac, knowing that the lions share of the reduced quota will have to go to them, (nothing to do with conservation btw) while the uk commercial industry have already put forward sensible technical ideas that will take care of the shortfall without the need for legislation that won't tackle the problem, who is out of touch, I have to ask. Any thoughts regarding climate, i.e. cooler winters as to having a temporary effect on the stock. (a lot of species are already shown to be late this year due to the cold spring, at last the water off our coast has gained summer heat and big bass fishing will take off this autumn) You and Dave where just a little early. Or is your organisation looking to impose a management plan that will not suit all, reducing the bass fishery to rsa only and hang the commercial sector?
