i know this is so very simple but i can never do it right. When i mix the groundbait it gets lumpy in some areas and powdery in others i cant get a good mix throughout . Im using cats and dogs method mix with some strawberry addictive(groundbait) and once its mixed im add hemp and some tiny pellets. could anyone give me some advice on how to mix the perfect method mix texture plz any advice would be brilliant. im going tommorow and hope to use it so do i mix it now ?? plz help paul

Its the open of the season and what a day. an hour in to my setion and i split my thumb open on a luncheaon meat tin the amount of blood was unbeleivable. It cut through to the bone and i fainted it was a first. But i carried on fishing and ended up catching a 4lb carp and 5 minutes before leaving hooked into a 9lb common which beat my P.B. not alot i know but hey it was enough . Got home and went straight to the hospital the glued my thumb up and im now off to bed. I was just wondering if anyone else had such an exciting day as me

Try using a heavier ledger with a less sensitive quiver it should work.

I rescently started fishing a lake only a couple of minutes down the road from me. Its a well looked after lake and is pretty private(in a mans garden) I know there is some tench in there up to at least 4lbs as my dad caught one the other day. The trouble is that was just a fluke. we get pestured by the smaller tench(not even a pound) and the roach in the lake. i even swicthed to a size 8 hook fishing with 4 peices of sweetcorn and still got the minnows. how would you go about separating the men from the boys?????

I know it sounds a bit odd but one thing i have learnt is that with age comes wisdom i havent tryed it might be worth trying though.
