  1. Hi, Just wondering if anyone has fished Nordley Pools by Bridgnorth lately. I am planning a trip there on Saturday and I was wondering how it was fishing? Any tips / advice would also be gladly received. Thanks Matthew
  2. Hi, Does anyone have any info about Townsend Farm Fishery in Alveley Bridgnorth? I am thinking of fishing it at the weekend and any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Matthew
  3. Hi, I am thinking of fishing Haye Farm Fishery near Bewdley and I can't seem to find much information about it. Just wondered if anyone knows what baits are allowed, how much it is and whether you can just turn up and pay on the bank or if you have to book. Any information is welcomed. Thanks Matthew
  4. Hi, Just wondered if anyone had ever fished Mangerton Valley Lakes near Bridport, Dorset? If so is it any good, any tips etc. etc. Thanks Matt
  5. Hi, I have heard that the Royal British Legion controls a stretch of the River Severn around Bridgnorth. Does anyone know where this stretch is and if its any good? Thanks
  6. Groundbait is only allowed in the feeder no loose groundbait is allowed. I think is was the Great Rod Race (I could be wrong) Matt Hayes stated the same thing which was that a small amount of groundbait could be used in feeders. This prompted me to ask the question; I will see if I can find the response and post it to the forum. Himley is currently £4.60 for a day ticket (I think this is for two rods) and if you ask the warden he will give you the code to the gate so that parking is free as well.
  7. Yes, a large amount of groundbait is banned although I asked the head warden at the Hall and he said that a small amount of groundbait in a feeder is ok. Although I must admit I have never been very successful when I have attempted feeder fishing.
  8. I intend to float fish for some of the big roach that I hear are in the lake. Although a fish is a fish as long as I catch some I am happy
  9. Hi, Has anyone got any advice on what baits to use when fishing Himley Hall Dudley. I plan on going this Saturday and I would like to know what baits to buy. Thanks
  10. Hi, I enjoy float fishing, in fact most of my fishing is with a waggler float, but I am not very successful with it. Having read most of the available coarse fishing magazines I keep coming across the term "Little and Often" with regard to how often you bait up your swim. The problem is nobody ever quantifies how much bait to throw in!!! The questions I am throwing out to the forum is; how much bait do you normally take for a days waggler fishing and how often and how much do you throw into your swim.
  11. Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows of a problem with getting the licences out. I ordered mine from the web site on the 1st April and still received nothing in the post. Very Sloppy!!!!! Has anyone else received theirs?
  12. Thanks guys, the feedback is appreciated. You never know if the rods are good or not until it's too late. I shall have a hunt on the internet to see if I can find myself a bargain Thanks again
  13. Hi, I have been looking for a new rod and I quite like the look of the Greys Prodigy Barbel. Has anyone ever used one? I would like the rod to be multi purpose; good for barbel but also good for feeder fishing if required. Any opinions? Thanks
