  1. I tell you whats even scarer, is when you go to someones house because they have called you for whatever reason, and you ask to see there meds, and you then ask, why did the doc prescribe these annd they turn around and say i dont know the doc just said i needed them it still surprises me why Docters are still held in such high status in modern society that people never question why they are been given a particuler drug. Regards Jack
  2. I think this problem has been around long before blair came to power, its just more in the focus now, with all the other problems going on in the NHS. Believe me i despise Blair with a passion, I just carnt blame him for this one, as much as i would love to Regards jack
  3. Have a look at this link mate http://www.uniteddiesel.co.uk/diesel-engine-smoke.php regards JS
  4. MRSA is not a result of government policy or even dirty hospitals on the whole, but cleanleness can help to control its transmisssion to other patients, but as a direct result of over prescribing antibiotics for illnesses by Doctors that really didnt need to be treated with them, hense the bacteria built up a resistance to a particuler type of antibiotic, methicillin which is a form of penicillin, one of the most commonly used antibiotic at one time. once it had built up a ristance to that particular antibiotic it was only time before it would mutate and become resitant to other types hense the problem of dealing with it and controling it. This is a very basic explanation of it, as it can be a very complex subject matter. Have a look at this link for a more in depth report on it. http://www.dh.gov.uk/en/Policyandguidance/...tion/DH_4093113 About a third of the population have the bacteria that can cause the disease, and they will probably never even know they have it, so by the laws of average, at least one person who has commneted on this thread will be a carrier, food for thought Regards Jack
  5. Im sat here crying with laughter at the comment, brilliant. As for Blair, well since he took a million pound bung from the antis to ban hunting, who are at the end of the day are a front for terrorist, well what more can you say. and as an NHS worker, (ambulance paramedic) they have just given us stupid targets to get to patients in a certain time frame, all this has done is make the ambualnce trusts put more solo responders on the road, as soon as they get to the job then the clock stops even though it may take another 2 hours for an ambulance to get to them, speaking from expearience, to finaly take them to hospital. and what you find is because most of the times can be met within a city limit, if you live outside that area you are part of the 15% they can afford to drop on the times. They can make the 85% in the bigger towns so most of the ambulances are there, as its easier to get to the jobs faster than if you live out in the sticks. its not the trusts fault its the government putting stupid times on when to get to jobs, at the end of the day we always tried to get to the job as fast as possible without this, all its done is is make the trusts find ways of meeting the target, which has not been to the benifit of the patients in most of the cases, Trust dont look at patient care anymore, its an after thought to meeting time targets. Regards JS
  6. Sounds spot on mate, even though i used to live in whitby, i never went out on a boat, always just fished from the shore, used to remember watching all the charter boats come in with plenty of fish, that was back in the eighties though, good to see the sport has improved for you up there Will be in touch next time im up there. Regards Jack
  7. Got to agree with you mate, it is a shame, it just takes away from the community spirit, I still have a soft spot for whitby, and me and my partner still try and get up there when we can, and i still manage to wet a line form time to time Regards Jack

Well thanks for the sound advice lads its greatly apreciated, i thought i had better asked before i spent my money on them, as i thought it must be to good to be true. but i thought they may just be something in it, and it would solve a problem for me, oh well, will just have to rely on the tackle shops as usual. 12. I was wondering what are the shore marks on the bristol channel, and if i was to fish there what could i expect to catch, the reason im asking is because if i carnt get to plymouth enough then the closest peice of coast to me seems to be around the bristol area. so i need to get an idea of where to fish. Thanks once again Regards Jack

  22. Cheers for the info, just one more question, what is the purpose of the two crimps on the one in the link that chappers put up. I understand the reason for the bait clip and beads, but not sure on the crimps. And do you use a stop knots to stop the beads moving? Sorry for the basic questions, but im just getting back into sea fishing after a long lay off from it. Regards Jack
  23. Cheers for that , i had a feeling the name was wrong , does anyone use this and how does it fair compared to the more traditional rigs? Regards Jack
  24. been watching the fishing on Discovery this week and Henery Gilbey was on a few times and he mentioned a rig called a pendelum rig or something like that, it looks like a running ledger rig from what i could see, but when you brought a fish in the weight of the fish help to lift the lead clear of the sea bed, so helps to prevent it snagging, and he also said it was excellent for longer range casting. Does anyone have a picture of this rig and how its made up as a picture paints a thousands words to me. Sorry if this sounds a silly question, its just ive been out of sea fishing for a good number of years now, and i carnt remember it been about when i was into it. Regards JS
