They are good quality and comfortable. Get them rigged up right and you can go all day in one. I use the rod holders when trawling as although they are rigid you can feel a bite or if you are snagged. They are good value for money when you compare them to other seats.

Hi All, This has been my first summer of Yak fishing and its been a mixed one. I enjoy fishing using the yak as it certainly puts a different slant on things. I live in South Wales and have used the Gower a fair bit, I was wondering if there was anyone on here who has tried launching from Newton and fishing the area East of Porthcawl to the Ogmore estuary. If there is any chance of some feedback fellas. Aberavan from the shelter of the Jackstones looks another promising launch out to. I am interested in meeting some yakers in the area so they can share some knowlege if possible or maybe hook up for a trip out. All the best PG

Why not go back to Cobras - They are located in Port Talbot just up the M4 from you. I am from Bridgend area and use a Marauder XF. Really Fast dry, and relatively light Yak (very adaptable). I use dry bags and can tuck all I need and more on board. Loads of room for Rod rests etc.

I was just wondering if most of you carry VHF radios with you at sea and if so what type. I want to get myself kitted out with one and know very little about what spec is best. I am new to the sport and intend to use the South Wales coast. The tidal differences are huge so there is a lot of potential for danger. Some prices and suppliers would be appreciated.
