Swerve to Euros all you like.

The Pound is worth more against the Euro now than it was for most of the four years prior to Brexit.

The historical lowest value of the pound against the Euro was in January 2009 - long before Brexit.

As for your claims about "The music industry", it's not an industry statement at all. What you have provided is an article from two years ago based on a self-selecting poll of musicians that was taken during Covid lockdown, with full travel restrictions in place.

Dig a little deeper, and it turns out that the poll was actually published in April 2021, and even the original source report doesn't give any information about the number of people who actually responded. Call me a cynic if you will, but I smell bullshittery.

Remember that the OBR estimated that the GDP loss - due to exiting the EU - will be 4 per cent of GDP by 2030.

What they forgot to mention is that In 2005 Gordon Brown estimated the cost of EU regulations, is in excess of 7% of total GDP every year.

By 2030 that would total 49% of GDP - ie over 12 times the OBR’s estimate of loss - which is why we need to press ahead with the repeal of many legacy EU regulations.

But the gains from leaving the EU are becoming clearer, in the form of policies that would have been legally or psychologically impossible to execute while part of the EU.

The AUKUS agreement would be a no go if the U.K. remained, and that is just one of many.

Your a wise man your lordship😉

  3. Perhap the trouble is we never actually brexited .

As I said (often) ANY deal with the EU is a bad deal

We are still being dictated to by the EU and until a government does as they are told and get out we always will be

  4. Not a thing I use ,I have an old Milbro one in the box but I suspect the elastic will break it's so old.

Your bodging is what the close season used to be about making stuff that mostly led to disappointment the first time it was used (floats made of drinking straws that folded in half on the strike thanks Anglers Mail !) But my Heron bite indicator conversion to bleep tones was successful thanks to a GPO worker giving me a couple when they first appeared (trim tone phones I think?).

Back to catapults a regular down the pond used a single handed one with great success ,not much good for dispatching pheasents with half inch ballbearings but accurate enough with maggots and ground bait.

  5. Best bet is look at ebay sold prices or auction houses ,flogging tackle is all about condition collectors want mint but want to pay peanuts .Hardy has its collectors but the slightest blemish and the price plummets .I gave up selling on ebay there's to many crooks trying to get stuff for nothing knowing the cost of you paying to get it back when they demand a refund for some fabrication is so expensive they can haggle the prices so far down there's no point.

  6. Nothing new there ,the first comment says it all in far off state sponsored wars

Amusing blame on Russia and America but overlooking china buying up their countries under their noses

  7. Otters love them as well ,before release train the otters to kill mink then the problems less ,even more if you can train mink to kill signal crayfish .

Things are "on the edge of extinction" when it's convenient you never hear when evidence is found of the opposite ! There's far rarer horse species than cuddly wild animals that bring in money for charities .

Saw a charridy demanding a tenner a month for Ukrainian kids ,**** me I can get a semi blind African a indian kid with cataracts , 2donkeys an orangutan and a pretend dirty well for less!

  8. Should the government be "rescuing" brit nationals who CHOOSE to leave these shores ?

What's to bet a great number "lose" their ID and insist they be flown over under the excuse they had to leave everything in the rush so couldn't be contacted to get an appointment at the airport and just turn up mob handed as we saw in the Afghanistan fiasco where tom dick and harry were suddenly insisting they helped the government and thus in the sights of the winners of the war and demanded  first class tickets and a lifetime of luxury on the tax payer .

I myself believe if you choose to leave our shores you are no longer British and therefore on your own and deserve everything you get.

Why do we even need officials out there ?we are not the leader of the world any more so have zero influence ,no gunboats up the foreign rivers anymore it's not a navy when it consists of rusting broken down rowing boats and old trawlers that keep breaking down 300 feet out of Pompey harbour !

Note overheard a bit on tv where the presenter said Albanian illegal mmigrants have plnummeted ,well of course they have they are now all Sudanese escaping a warzone so they cannot be sent back 🙄

  9. Perhaps a government licenced elver fisherman had COVID for a few days so couldn't denude an entire river system last year?

What to bet once it's spotted in the press the elvers seen are now being sold in the countries that buy them !

  10. Clod you've been doing it since 2016 🙄 have fun continuing to do so! Why do people continue to encourage the troll and expecting HIM to change from being a troll

"Insanity is repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results."

  11. It's pretty vague though compared to GPS fine where there's enough masts to triangulate but I think the point of it is to ensure your phone is smart enough to be tracked 24/7 and the number of the phone

Who knows what pressing OK does ,does it sign you into terms and conditions where you allow your phone to be not only tracked but mined for any data it contains, who reads T&C's on anything today and that's when they are clearly shown .

Trust me the government are not doing it out of the kindness of their hears they will have an agenda this is the UK it's not known as having a problematic weather history as Mr Fish .Pointless having ww3 warned about it would cause panic and hinder the ruling elite getting to their bunkers , nope can't think of anything of use but to ID your phone

As for companies not giving info out I agree it gets in the way of selling to anyone with the dollars to buy it

  12. Ken saying I don't have a tv is like a car owner saying he doesn't own a rolls Royce but having a vw golf !your typing on here which means you have a screen and that screen can be used as a tv .A tv is a term as well as a physical thing if your device can reconstruct transmitted audio and visual signals back to audio and video on your device it's a tv

Technically you could hang a 32" monitor on your wall and not connect it to an aerial or the web or satellite dish and cast video to it via your phone but it will still be a tv , the moot point is what you watch on it to get the bbc interested .

  13. I only heard an opinion on it's workings ,the guy gave the impression (rightly or wrongly) you have to press OK to the message to get rid of it on the screen .whether. You can get around it without revealing you aknowledge the message I don't know.

I did notice though on a lessr smart phone although it lets you opt out of emergency messages the slider isn't totally clear when you opt out like other ones but grey so it could be overridden ?

Is it a standard government warning system or does pressing OK opt you into a far more devious tracking system for these 15 minute city malarky after all cyclists at the moment cannot be tracked nor walkers either

Of course once electric vehicals become standard you can bet "for safety" they will be tracked 24/7 so penalties can be issued for misdemeanours like moving

Will the signal be a one- off or continually ping phones UNTILL the OK button is pressed in the cases of phones that have the sim removed that day

Will the government retract 2G so those dumb phones no longer work and you will be forced to update them so you are tracked?

In my case a phone sitting on a cupboard for weeks or wandering round a field will be highly entertaining lol

There's been a lot of forward planning going on by shady parties .Talk of having only a digital currency and removal of bricks and mortar banks means to exist you need a phone capable to use banking apps and of course phones capable of being seen by those some that don't want to watch their every move whether where they go or what they buy with the certain knowledge the app could prevent them using digital payments until they comply with government wishes. Makes 1984 look pretty tame !
