  2. i for 1 hate modern tyres ,they are designed for fair weather riders ,yes they have excellent roadholding providing the roads are like racetracks without real life potholes ,loose gravel and manhole covers ,give me tyres that dont resemble tyres that are worn out (slicks) i have ridden many bikes in my life from 900cc bmws through 500cc motor marini`s down to the honda 90 i ride now ,modern bikes even small ones boast their horse power but give me my put-put any day ,where in the winter are all these 1400cc monsters  i ride mine every day winter or summer it is extremly forgiving and the centre of gravity is very low ,snow just ride round with your feet on the ground :D ,modern bikes are intended to be looked at by pre menstrual girls but not ridden ,honda 90 is the bike for general riding and commuting ,40 million people cant be wrong :D

  3. as the low paid cannot afford extra pensions and the gov are thinking of raising the pension age to 70 they will have to work till they die ..literally .my mum died at 59 so didnt get to pension age and my old man worked till he died at 69 because he couldnt afford to retire he even had to wriggle out of claiming disability pension so he could work (he needed a triple bypass) :( so job for life in their case definatly :)

    WHAT WE?RE DOING

We?re introducing a monthly** usage quota of 120 hours? internet access during flat rate access periods (i.e. during weekends and between 6.00pm and 8.00am weekdays). We?re also removing the 12 hours in one day restriction. You may, of course, use your 'daytime dialler' as much as you want.

120hrs  i shall see what the ombudsman says (is there one)

i cannot believe ofsted has not e`mail address  here it is complain away advice@oftel.gov.uk

please send your e`mails of complaint as i have ,i am sure the more that mail the more attention w`el get

  6. just installed xp (again) and its was running like a slug ,on opening the performance tab i noticed that the processor was running at 100% closing down all the programs on the start bar it was still running a 100% looking under processes on was using 99% of the cpu it was EVNTSVC.EXE doing a search for it it was a realplayer file ,disablinging the autoupdate (which it seamed to be ) done nothing ,i deleted it ,and now my cpu uses 2% ,why does this file run ????? and why does it need so much power????

also in an upgrade from win 98se to xp do i need to get administrator rights  (home version) as when trying to uninstall nortons firewall   it says i cannot do so without administrator rights

  7. i got bitten by an adder in my front room once ,a kid from up the road brought a tin full of straw and asked me what it was (yes tin of straw :D ) thinking it was a field mouse or related ,i put my hand in and got bitten on the index finger ,after half an hour i had a swelling under my arm  so jumped on the bike and of to a&e ,i got out four days later ,and yes my arm and half my chest was black and blue ,my arm was swollen to several times its size ,but i still rode that bike home :D

the funny thing was the week before i was attacked by a tawney owl (dont ask) which went (as they do) for my eyes and put a deep scratch along one of them ,on the form filled in at a&e it was listed as "owls foot in eye" :D

i was recognised on my return and asked "what is it this time" :D i think it was probably listed as "adder on hand" :D

  8. i hadnt heard officially via e`mail about the 150hrs clause ,typical of bt,i feel sorry for anyone that uses "anytime" (i use surftime) working from home or whatever  they have us over a barrel we still have to pay line rental even if we use someone elses isp (i use bt as my isp as well )so its over £20 a month to them ,who do you use???? maybe there singling out users NOT using them as a isp as well

  9. i was on the stage at the edinburgh paladium at the age of five in a talent comp ,my english accent swayed the crowd and i won (a load of balloons so i`m told) which my mum gave away on the way home ,i dont remember a thing despite being sober ,fame i almost became a diva but decided a diver was better :D:D

  10. went to my local tackle shop today ,he has some bits just the cost of the main drum is £9 + all the other bits (and theres quite a lot) it may be worth visiting e`bay and buying one ,at least you`d have lots of spares for the future :)

  11. its not so much the chlorine its the flourine ,its being phased out in america but still in our water whether we need it or not ,flourine in toothpaste is adequate for our needs ,too much of it is bad for teeth and heaven knows what its doing to our kidneys etc :( and ofcourse our fish

  12. for realy cheap weights pop down to you garage cadge all the old spark plugs ,put a swivel in the spark gap and tap it closed ,if the weight becomes trapped the tackle can be retrieved by a strong pull on the rod ,the gap opens releasing the swivel (check each time you cast that the gap is tightly closed
