  1. all the drives and cases came from the skip ,once stipped down and regreased and scratched platters replaced these old drives came up like new no bad sectors after a couple of formats ,new drives are not worth the bother and my eyesight too bad to see inside them :D

  2. they were probably put there by non anglers ,probably the fish had outgrown their tanks etc ,not being anglers they were probably unaware of the laws concerning fish ,when the ninja turtals films were about lots of people bought turtles and once the fad passed released them into waterways ,what was the choice ? no-one wanted them ,zoos and wildlife centres were innundated ,release or kill ,little choice for their pets ,there was even talk of aligators and other exotics in warm manchester canals

who knows what is out there :D

  3. ive used 8 inchers and proud of it and saw bigger in the skip huge things 2 feet across in their own case like a tupperware plate cover ,i once found a hard drive in the skip (i liked to recycle )on looking it up in the inventry found it was the main server hard drive of a couple of years before it cost £2,900

the size ................................300mb :D it went back ,then i was used to 1gig scuzzi :D i had a stack of five all plumbed into my 486 BOY DID I HAVE POWER now my machine is sadly lacking in crunch

  4. ah but clever anglers make the fish come to them not the other way round i havent done an over the top cast for years all (float fishing)my casting is underhand rarely more than 2 rod lenghts out ,burning calories is a sign of a thin bloke ,i`m 18 stone :D

  5. never really trusted mcaffee ,years ago a batch of "sampo" virus went through the uni ,in those days i used floppies to take downloaded stuff home ,on inserting my disk in a p.c mcaffee came up with "sampo" virus found ,then it "cleaned" the virus from the disc on inserting the disc again and scanning it nothing was found ,i then filled the disc with whatever and took it home ,on inserting it in my machine at home my virus checker (then thunderbite now nortons) told me the disc had the sampo virus  mcaffee hadnt removed it, only in its own mind the sampo was alive and well :D

  6. is the origenal "picture" under lock and key in a neutral place after all you could say wrong place to every-one or shall i make a "stamp" with hundreds of floats 0.1mm apart as used to be used for spot the ball :D (well not floats, balls in that comp) :D wheres my entry gone? it could be used in legal tussels etc

  9. probably best not to align yourself with the chesters1 philophesy ,it could cause you a lot of hate e`mails ,do a search for my posts some are VERY amusing and very very right wing (or is it left ) :D the best were deleted by our beloved moderators 2 in one month i think ,i didnt get a prize though unless death threats count as one :D:D i think the word chesters1 is now a derogative swear word in some parts of the country

  10. thanks but due to several letters to the mp v bottomley (some are ok )about the unfairness regarding housing to tax paying brits being kept on the bottom of the housing list whilst our NEW visitors coming through the tunnel etc being homed above us and the council telling her i was a liar and i had NEVER contacted them about imminant homelessnes in print (later disproved using their own DATED correspondance :D ((never never throw any paperwork away )) proving that the head of housing was the liar not myself)we managed to get a council house after 10 months ,the moral is if you want it push for it ,its your right :) and yes i will be paying council tax when employed (my job was also lost due to council incompetance) but thats another story :D

and i was in weymouth last sunday ,my sister in law and hubby have got so peed of with this country they have sold up ,bought a moody 37.4 (boat) and are of to tour the world ,we were waving goodby from the pontoon by the bridge :)

  11. is the pic from the millenium map site ? ,makes me laugh "buy a pin sharp" picture for x pounds ,it says look at sample certificate for example ,what crud its out of focus ,full of digital artifacts and not even a close up ,hopefully the site our government crowed about when it was set up will shortly be out of business :D and yes the electoral register is out of date and were not on the census either ,homeless scum dont get included on either (which is handy for the government as the most needy officially dont exist :D ) we now live about 500yds south of that photo ,nearer the river :D

  12. if it were he ,then being on the lookout for torpedo`s etc they should have seen us in dificulty and rescued us ,i got very wet keeping that outboard dry ,and i think we were using oars in the last 1/4 mile :D and i think those nasty brown boats were deliberatly trying to swamp us :D:D
