ok thanks,talking of oxygen a pond we fish at in norfolk closed because of that,we turned up early one morning a couple of wks ago and it was closed.i walked up to the pond and he had a pump going a hose into the pond,i have never seen as many fish on the surface with there mouths open,quite a few dead also.spoke to the owner and he said he had lost a lot of fish

could i ask why they are vulnerable when the water temp is higher and does this go for all fish when the water temp is higher?

cheers budgie,i phoned a local tackle shop in norfolk and he adviced me on what braid to get and hook line,also a feeder reel so just waiting for it all to arrive

thanks everyone,i have a couple of spare spools so i can always change round. am sure i will have some more questions soon

have been told that braid can damage fish more than nylon,as for my rod i have a shakespear mach 3

cheers john,as for the the fish i am not after big stuff just the general stuff really,will be happy just to catch on a new type of fishing i have never tried.have no doubt i will learn from my mistakes

erm ok whats a mono leader,was going to order online so might be easier for someone just to say buy this one and whatever else i need and i will try it back at home now so no dad to help me out ..have found a nice pond to try it out before i go on the river. many thanks for the help chris.

hello,i want to use braided line when feeder fishing will 8lb be ok,this would be fastened to a 7lb hook line.have been told the hook line should be less than the main line cheers chris

hello all new to the forum and coming back to the fishing scene after a long break. i am starting to have a go at feeder fishing and i am wanting a feeder reel, price £50 to £70 quid. any advice on what to buy would be helpfull. cheers chris
