Was supposed to fish a match on Sutton lawn today but on arriving found there were already several young anglers fishing on the better side of the lake turned out they were foreign kids with buckets of live fish now I don't blame the organizers and bailiff as you cant be on sight all the time to stop the people from foreign lands taking what they like from a lake that people have put sometimes years of hard work into building and pleading ignorance when caught.But when are the authorities going to do something to deter them?. Didn't fish the match in the end not knowing how much bait these little sods had thrown in or how many swims they had fished before we got there me and my mate gave it up as a bad job. Hope the lads that stuck it out did well

The Lake is stuffed with silvers Carp into double figures some nice sizes Chub Tench and even the odd Trout

Your right mate can't give too much away yet I have a large lake in mind but waiting for it to be finalized in Sept I have been promised a 6 year lease It is stuffed with all species we will have inter club matches and our own club matches All i am after right now is numbers of anglers interested

Hi lads I found some very old reels in my Dads old fishing gear anyone know if there is a site where I can get a free appraisal Sportex 55 in original box with the guarantee and manual Grice and young seajeda Mk11 No makers marks on these Searched the web cant find anywhere that gives any idea of what there worth only says the Sportex is very rare

No problem mate I got involved Three years ago when my best mates grandson died only a few months old and thought it would be a great way of remembering him. While looking for a worthy cause I saw a link to their website and it seemed like the ideal charity as all the money we raise goes to help seriously and terminally ill children so we organized a match and it proved popular this year we are hoping to raise enough money to make wishes come true by paying for a place on a trip organized each year by the charity for two very ill very brave children and their carers to go to Lapland the amount we have to raise is £1400 last year we only managed to sponsor one child so we need all the help we can get which is why I am starting early so please even if its only a packet of hooks or a disorger please give us your support. just got back from another session had the usual bag of small silvers must be getting spoilt now as I threw them back but I had to show you these beautiful Rudd and to top it off a couple of nice carp

Didn't mate I counted them back in. It was hectic they weren't even waiting for the bait to drop they were taking it as I was shipping out a lot of the time its my PB for a session on that lake but it always fishes its head off

Had another session today and this was the result A grand total of 264 fish including Rudd/Roach and Perch I was fishing single red maggot over a bed of Blacksilvers Black Magik ground bait top stuff

Pallatrax do a good range of alternative natural baits including Silk worm/shrimp/blood worm/giant mealworms/water snails and more all dead they come in a tin you could give them a try mate

I am heading for Holyhead to fish aboard My Way was told it was a good charter and a really good skipper at the right price
