I'd be interested to know how research showing Britains rivers running dry marries up to the threat of more flooding than ever before? Where will the water come from, if not from the rivers overflowing?

Allo I was quoted 78 quid for a starter set and mentioned this when I was in McHardy's in Carlisle (they're working on a website atm, just not all up yet) and they built a set, 9ft rod (Shakespeare Odyssey), reel, line, backing, leader, 10 flies (wet n dry, suited to where I'm fishing, apparently...bloomin' hope so) - all for 65 quid (and pence), and all good stuff too

Ey oop I'm very very new to fishing, and want to learn fly. Not got a licence yet, waiting for payday after spending all my spends on kit, so been learning knots... I live in North Cumbria, between the Irthing and Gelt, and I'll probably be asking lots of questions and offering no advice fr the first few months on here Happy catchin'!
