  1. well you know i would love to catch a 40lb nemo fish
  2. Yeah but it's the fact that there's always bream if the carp don't come, or I could just nip to another lake
  3. Following the 'best carp bait on ebay' topic i was intrigued by the claims of these magic boilies so i've bought a tub and i'm going to be trying them soon, i'll let you know what they're like http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AMAZING-NEW-MAGIC-BO...=item20ad35f08e
  4. Yeah its usually full in summer I think you mean temple lake which its members and also a hard lake to fish i think :/ i'll put a line out with a bag of pellets and then just float fish for bream cheers
  5. This is quite a well know fishery i believe, has anyone fished there on the old lake for carp? I have fished there for bream and tench, it's heavily stocked in both but i don't know about carp?
  6. can you afford delkims? http://www.fishtec.co.uk/tackle.cfm/carp-a...797/gclid/gclid
  7. Thats what im thinking, because there are 40 odd in there!
  8. Just a quick one, found a tub of mainline pineapple pop-ups they're about a year old or so but they still smell deliciously fruity? can i use them; it saves me forking out another 6 quid
  9. always thought of this as such a daunting task for me, hope it goes well.
  10. Mould some source groundbait into the bottom of the spod then crush about 4 or 5 boilies into the spod then maybe some seeds or hemp/sweetcorn then 2 whole boilies then another mould of groundbait. This is a mix i use in my pva bags so im not sure if it'll work with spodding?
  11. First make, as said by STC , a hair rig - http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/rig-section/ca...tless_knot.html If i were you i'd start off with a simple, single boilie with a couple of boilies in with the mix around your hook and you'll do fine Attach the hooklink to perhaps a lead clip which can be bought ready made from most tackle shops.
  12. never heard of it, sorry
  13. I'm not sure if you ever have but you may need to get a marker float out and check the depths because in big lakes that is vital; Shallow bars in the summer, Deepish bowls of water in the winter
  14. Your like me I don't really spod often but i guess some seeds and boilies with some moulded groundbait? Carp love seeds if you choose the right ones
  15. looks like one that will be the catcher since nobody else will be using it!
  16. the fizzing boilie rig!! strange stuff here XD
  17. Yes i'll admit i don't have a lot of knowledge in the new modern world of carping and if it were my choice i'd have everyone back on simple rigs and float fishing with corn and bread for carp but i'm just going with the flow and learning new things thanks for the help!
  18. A guy on youtube known as the carp catcher uses these rigs
  19. but my hooklinks are 20lb stiff braid ?
  20. i went down to a river and it was quite flooded with a muddy colour so i found some slack spots and tried them out and caught absolutely nothing, even thought the temp rose from around 3 to 13!!
  21. Thorpe lea fishery, 18 acres silt/gravel not many snags, most people i see using 15lb, i use 2.5lb test curves. I use a hybrid stiff braid hooklink so im not sure if it matter so badly if its 15lb or 18 line??
  22. Im just goin to stick with some new tfg force 8 freespool reels, 10 ball bearings (upgraded from my 4, i believe ) with max power rods for a decent price of 120 for 2 sets. What line do you recommend using, fishing in a place where 14-18lb fish are catchable but also 24-28lb? 18LB? 15LB?
