  1. ive just gotta say that those offers of teaching experience above are well decent, good on you lads!, you'd learn alot from these guys in a day, no dount enough for you to be able to fish competently on your own. its all about knowing what your doing as this causes less mishaps, but as said above things do go wrong so expect this and you wont be dissapointed. Bob nudd's guide to waggler fishing is a great video for some really good starting out advice. it used to be on YOUTUBE untill it got taken off for copyright, i'll have a look to see if i can find it anywhere else and post a link if i do, but yeah stick with it mate and you might just find yourself one of the most rewarding past-times around! good luck
  2. indeed, i think those sunny winter mornings, with ground frost are amongst the most asthetically pleasing of the whole year... thanx for the adivce
  3. thanx for the tips, im going to give it my best shot.
  4. going up to MKF shalmsford complex, probably going for the match lake...me and a mate are a bit determined to go even in the outrageous change in weather predicted. any experience in getting action in this kind of situation?, any tips gladly recieved!! ARNOLD
  5. nah, i aint scared!lol. will make catching all the more worth wile, thermal vest n woolie hat i'll be fine. its going to be sunny at least!!!
  6. thats an inspiring thought, but ive kinda got my heart set on baggin up a few carp and bream, might be a losing fight but im going whatever the weather!, can always go home if its a snow blizzard! ,
  7. yeah, ive gotta admit this thread has had me a chuckle or two!
  8. er.........heres a link........silly me http://www.reelfishing.co.uk/Drennan-Serie...von-Quiver.html
  9. could do with it settling on something really, all this change is making things a litlle tricky,, this weekend looks great with temperatures between 3c and -1c & 29 mph winds! , i think i'll venture out anyway,,, does anyone who knows the place reckon that MKF match lake will have a sheltered spot somewhere to get out of the bluster???? oh well, fair weather anglers never catch much anyway..im gona have to be brave
  10. this copyright situation is a bit silly, yeah i understand that the creators should be paid for there hard work., but why not just allow free streaming access to all media and have on site advertising or click throughs that would easy make enough money for the content holders whilst allowing free access for users. it really is holding back the progression of media technology in my oppinion. perhaps i could try to arrange something like this with the content holders of fishing media. im sure that a good streaming site would get plenty of enough viewers to make the numbers add up for potential companies looking to advertise.........hmmm, thats got me thinking!
  11. have a look at this, looks a lovely rod. i think the 1.25 avon option will probably suite my fishing methods quite well. what are your thoughts on this rod, have you used/known somebody who has used one?, and what would be a good choice of reel to top it off with?........any help apprieciated. thanx, ARNOLD

thanx den, i fished the match lake before i had read this post and was a little reluctant to feed, i done ok but next time i will feed with more confidence and hopefully reap the rewards. ive got to say that it is a very nice looking tidy match lake indeed, and i managed to pull out a modest bream of around 5 to 6 pounds which i was quite pleased with!, its nice to be fishing waters of better quality after years of just fishing commercials and day tickets, they just have a different feel to them... any tips or pointers towards fishing float or feeder in blue laggon den>?, im thinking of doing a midweek session this week. thanx again, Arnold
  13. i think that water might be your answer......maggots sink, sawdust floats. allough, blowing maggots around the place with a hairdryer sounds fun, game like almost

yeah it does seem a bit biased towards carp fishing, but i spose theve got to make there money and carp fishing seems to be what most people want to do now,,,
  15. now thats a good idea too!, do you put something over the box, something like mesh to stop the maggies legin it!?
