  1. Thanks, Ill take the advice and go to a shop. I used a pole for the first time last season. I went for an 11m shakespeare Zeta (very much a starter pole) to see if i liked it. Well, i did, but now i want something a little better although i cant afford thousands of pounds. The 11m was ok but extremely heavy and flexible at 11m. Hoping to get something a little lighter and stiffer.
  2. Hi all, Im thinking about treating myself to a new pole for next season but im not sure what to get. I want something a least 13m, preferably 20/18 rated and no more than £400. Ive been looking at the Maver Deliverance. Anyone got any suggestions as to what i should get? Thanks.
  3. I recently bought John Wilson masterclass (i think) and Bob Nudds Tackle Box (i think thats what its called). I wouldnt bother with the john wilson one. but the bob nudd one is quite good, it covers canal fishing, river fishing and pole fishing.
  4. Hi all, Can any of you recommend a good long (15-16ft) rod primarily for river fishing (so something not too heavy). Obviously i dont really wanna pay ridiculous prices either. cheers.

  13. Has anyone used these? would you recommend them? How do they attach to the hook? Cheers.
  14. I always use the "Ton Up" brand of pellets, both sinkers and expanders. I used to just squeeze the expanders under water to get them to sink but now i use a pellet pump. I have to admit, i also held off buying a pellet pump because i thought they were just a gimmick but i wouldnt be without mine now. Perfect sinkers every time.
